Velvet Flash Fiction Competition

This competition has had to be cancelled due to financial constraints and a lack of entries. If you entered, you should already have been contacted, either by us or by Chroma, to discuss providing you with a full refund. If you have not, then please contact the editor immediately. Her e-mail address can be found here.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of entries, Chroma were unable to provide their share of the prize money for the competition, and as a result, we didn't think it was fair to the entrants or our readers to continue the competition under false pretences.

To our entrants: please don't let this setback stop you from sending submissions in to Velvet. We are always happy to receive new pieces of writing and always publish a few in each issue, so don't let this put you off.

We apologise for the inconvenience and irritation this must have caused, and we hope you will continue to support Velvet in the future.
